The bibliographic instruction and the students laugh at me because I take them for bibliographic instruction every semester. He is sure he has nothing more to teach them, and they, that they do not need this show one more time. The search interfaces and databases are increasingly complex, however, and I learn something new every time.
Here is the true reason we go, though. A student, with an M.A. already, por más señas, messaged me to ask whether a journal I had suggested to her were in our library. It turned out that she knew where books were in the library of her M.A. granting institution, but not where we were. In the classes she had taken so far there had been heavy reading, but no library research.
In that way the student resembles this job candidate. This is why I believe in having resources for research; without them you have no education.
